Kostis Stafylakis, Redneck Revolt: New Horror (2021). A sculptural video-installation that presents an overview of Chloroquine Juggalo’s TikTok activity. Chloroquine Juggalo duets his Juggalo friends and they duet him back in creative ways. Chloroquine Juggalo also duets a popular member of Redneck Revolt, a pro-gun organization that identifies as socialist, anti-racist, anti-fascist. Redneck Revolt supported the Washington Juggalo March.

Wall triptych: Readiness SAGA
The Readiness SAGA is a serialized simulation of social conflict in the US. Kostis Stafylakis and Theo Triantafyllidis – alongside a shifting synthesis of collaborators – tailor real and fictional identities and scenarios to a fantasy world made of colorful salvage. The Readiness SAGA narrates a conflict between the “Preppers” (doomsday enthusiasts who marshal for the “end of the world as we know it”), the “Boogaloo Bois” (Civil War accelerationists, flexing tactical gear and Hawaiian shirts), and the “Golden Horde” (the alleged criminal horde of the unprepared citizens featured in preppers’ jargon and literature).

Central Exhibit: Kostis Stafylakis, Monument to Post Truth. Plaster sculpture (2021). Monumental sculpture welcoming the alleged waning of the Post-Truth Era. It comprises ICP’s Riddle Box Clown, the attire of Q Shaman and of other Capitol invaders, alongside obscene references to the Pizzagate conspiracy theory.

A video showing edited footage from Kostis Stafylakis’s gradual immersion to the Juggalo culture. CJ throws a party with exclusive amateur rap music sent by juggalos he met online. The video tells the story of his slow mutation to the wrestler “Puke Ninja” and his fight with “Struggalo Broski” on the arena of No Rules Gym Athens. The story-board follows the insights of Kannibal Kannabis, a juggalo rapper interviewed by Stafylakis, whose music is sampled throughout various parts of the video. Chloroquine Juggalo wears Exoskeleton III and proceeds to a frenetic parkour through Athenian streets. He encounters random hieroglyphs, terrorizes Athenian taxi drivers, blocks the entrance of a building, gets worshiped by a crowd of random passersby, and vanishes into the dark of the Athenian cityscape.
