In the “Oath taking” performance, an officially dressed person carries decoration, paintings, photographs and religious icons into the exhibition space and hangs them on the wall. He finally leaves a stack of papers on the floor. These handouts carry a photograph and a text. The photograph is a key to the secret: the nailed paintings are an accurate reconstruction of the decoration on the office background wall of the newly elected President of Hellenic Republic, Right-wing politician Prokopis Pavlopoulos. The objects on the wall mimic the public television live streaming of the encounter between the President of the Greek Parliament Zoe Konstantopoulou, elected with SYRIZA, and Pavlopoulos. In this encounter, Konstantopoulou announces the election of Pavlopoulos to the office of President of Hellenic Republic. The text on the handouts is her speech.
